"Faculty, Masters of Social Work - Department of Social Work"

Azusa Pacific University is a comprehensive Christian university located 26 miles northeast of Los Angeles, California. The Social Work Department seeks to prepare students for professional social work practice with diverse populations.

Nine-month faculty position in a thriving, urban, CSWE accredited Master of Social Work program. The Department seeks candidates with experience in generalist and macro social work practice, with emphasis on macro practice with communities and organizations and strong administration experience. A strong background in evidenced informed practice needed. Ability to teach across specializations desired.

Responsibilities:

• Teach assigned courses based on teaching load.
• Assist in student advising and mentoring, program assessment and student admissions.
• Participate in department and program meetings and functions, strategic planning, special programs, and campus committees as needed.
• Contribute to development and dissemination of scholarship and expertise.
• Work at alternative Regional Campuses or Sites as indicated for role.

Qualifications:

PhD or DSW required, with Master of Social Work degree from an accredited social work program. Minimum of two years professional practice experience. Demonstrated excellence in teaching and potential for scholarship. Able to communicate the ethical integration of Christian faith in social work scholarship and practice.
