FT Assistant Professor - Art and Design

Job Summary:

Teach courses in Art and Design, consistent with current developments in the discipline and teaching methods. Participate in program/department meetings and divisional/college-wide committees with a focus on continual improvement of programs and learning outcomes. Participate in curriculum and course development, course and program coordination, tutoring and advising students, mentoring and reviewing peers, and actively participates in College initiatives. Participate in student assessment initiatives within the program and college, and implement the determinations of those initiatives. Must demonstrate a commitment to the diversity of a multi-cultural population, as well as work effectively in a team-based environment, seeking continuous improvement and adherence to the community college philosophy.

Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.

Required Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Art or related subfield (from a regionally accredited college or university).

College teaching experience (can be at the T.A. level).

Portfolio reflecting professional work.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Studio Art or Design field (from a regionally accredited college or university), or MFA or higher.

Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
