Department of Social Work - Full-Time Faculty Member, Instructor Rank
Indiana State University is seeking well-qualified and collaborative faculty to join our team in the Department of Social Work. The successful candidate will demonstrate the potential to be an effective teacher and a contributor to community engagement. Our Department is growing with increasing diversity of students, and we have a special interest in adding faculty who adept at working with first generation students.
Responsibilities
This is a 10-month regular full-time faculty appointment with candidates eligible for non-tenure track rank of Instructor. Faculty will have primary appointment to the MSW program but will have opportunity to teach both BSW and MSW courses. The MSW program has a focus on rural social work clinical practice. Faculty responsibilities include teaching, mentoring, and service that supports the focus of the Department and the College.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must hold a master's degree in social work from a CSWE-accredited program; two years post-MSW experience is required along with eligibility for social work licensure in Indiana.
Preferred Qualifications:
We are looking for faculty with experience in clinical social work practice; specialized knowledge of field education, substance abuse treatment, or rural practice is beneficial. Experience as a College/University educator in both the classroom and online is preferred.

We offer 14 undergraduate majors, 14 undergraduate minors, 10 master's degree programs, and 4 doctoral degrees. The college has over 6000 alumni around the nation and the globe, who are making a difference in the health, wellbeing, and social welfare.
The Department of Social Work is growing with rapidly expanding MSW and BSW programs, and six full time faculty serving over 120 undergraduate and graduate students.
