Teaching Instructor or Senior Teaching Instructor - Social Work

East Carolina University is seeking applicants for a 9-month, full-time, fixed-term Teaching Instructor or Senior Teaching Instructor position in the School of Social Work, beginning August 2026.

Job Duties: Responsibilities include teaching in the BSW and MSW programs (in-person and online courses, including on Saturdays), service to the profession, university, and community, and other duties as assigned. Contingent upon availability of funds.

Minimum Education/Experience: Applicants must hold an MSW from a CSWE accredited program and have a minimum of 2 years full-time post-MSW practice experience. Qualifying degrees must be from regionally accredited institutions.

License or Certification Required: None.

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education: Seeking individuals who advance excellence in social work education through innovative teaching, have experience with diverse students, and commitment to non-discriminatory practices. Preference for applicants with 5+ years of teaching experience in social work higher education and 2+ years of administrative experience in human-serving organizations.
