Job Summary

Performs maintenance and service repairs on heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems... Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
Works under the close direction of senior personnel... May require 0-2 year of general work experience.

Responsibilities

The job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Performs routine corrective repairs and preventative maintenance to a variety of building heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) equipment under close supervision...
• Performs basic repairs of HVACR systems and equipment...
• Assists in major component replacement and systems repairs under the supervision of higher-level technicians...
• May be required to serve in an on-call status...
• Perform all other duties/tasks as required.

Required Qualifications

High School diploma or GED from a recognized State or Federal accredited organization or vocational training in HVACR with 1 year experience.
Other Required Qualifications
Valid drivers license to drive State vehicles

Preferred Qualifications

Other Preferred Experience
Associates or technical degree or certification in HVAC field and experience with Johnson Controls Metasys

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

ABILITIES
Ability to use a building automation system, preference to Metasys... Must have substantial manual dexterity...

KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration theories... Ability to read and understand engineering and architectural design documents.

SKILLS
Planning and organizing the most cost effective use of materials...

Shift/Salary/Benefits

Shift: Days: Monday - Friday

Pay Band: 6

Salary Minimum: $18.85/hour

Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
