Job Description Summary
The Platform & Technologies Project Lead will provide technical support for all aspects of virtual program instruction including support for video conferences (remote and onsite), classroom technology and simulations used in the Division's programs: Wharton Interactive, Wharton Learning Lab and possibly other outside vendors. The position will provide timely and effective support and consulting for faculty using systems: Canvas, Wharton Direct, Zoom, BlueJeans, Panopto, PollEverywhere, etc. The position will collaborate with other computing staff and faculty to propose innovative solutions to resolve technology issues. Act as thought leader/consulting partner to colleagues in the four respective business-units (Online, Live, OE, and Custom) in implementation of live programing. The position also requires designing, testing, and implementing efficient workflows for custom teaching requirements of the Division's clients. Provide tier two help desk technical support for division systems e.g. CRM, Accommodations Management, Account.
Job Description
- Provide technical support for all aspects of program instruction including support for video conferences (remote and onsite), classroom technology and simulations used in the Division's programs. Direct third-party support partners and departmental clients to execute on virtual program delivery.
- Design, test and implement efficient workflows using standard and emerging remote and on-premise learning support tools based on custom teaching requirements of the Division's clients. Act as thought leader/consulting partner to colleagues in the four respective business-units (Online, Live, OE, and Custom) in implementation of live programing. Represent IT needs in ongoing discussions for organizing support logistics; establish, attend, and lead in scheduled meetings and communications with clients, faculty, and partners.
- Provide tier two help desk technical support for division systems e.g. CRM, Accommodations Management, Account Management, IT Onboarding and backs up classroom operations as necessary.
- Lead for the design and management of the team's documentation resources. Proactively identify improvement opportunities through systematic measurements and analysis. Analyze for client, faculty, service partner competencies and provide recommendations for improvement, training, and remediation. Actively train others via written, digital, and guided scenarios to promote skill growth.
- Additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
B.A./B.S; 2 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience supporting technology in higher education, preferred. Ability to consult with senior faculty and staff across Wharton on use of instructional technology use cases and potential innovations. Must be able to manage long-term client projects to deliver on schedule while meeting the daily demands of the staff and client technology consulting needs. Diligence and attention to detail are needed to ensure that our clients have the training and information they need when they need it. The successful candidate will be able to collaborate with staff across Wharton and the University to find and design appropriate solutions to instructional technology needs. Must be self-motivated and a self-starter with the ability to handle multiple tasks and demands. Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment to achieve agreed-upon objectives. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.
