Learning Commons Associate - Mathematics
Reporting to the assigned campus leader, the Learning Commons Associate provides front-line customer service to students, employees, and the public at the TCC Learning Commons. The Learning Commons Associate is responsible for cross-training in multiple areas with the ability to assist with clerical, customer service, learning lab, library, and other professional duties throughout the Learning Commons.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities include serving as a resource to enhance learning and engagement, providing guidance on resources, overseeing front desk operations, monitoring user behavior, and inventory management. Specific areas include library support, learning support such as tutoring and academic coaching, and service excellence.
Required Minimum Qualifications vary by level: High school diploma for Level I, Associate's degree and two years' experience for Level II, and Bachelor's degree and two years' experience for Senior level.
Preferred Qualifications include education beyond minimum requirements and specific college credit hours in mathematics courses.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities involve customer service principles, active listening, critical thinking, and effective communication.
Physical Demands and Work Environment: Involves sitting, using hands, and occasional lifting, with a quiet work environment.
