"Lecturer - Education"

The Department of Behavioral Sciences at Kingsborough Community College invites applications for a full-time Lecturer to teach a wide variety of courses in the Education Program, including evening and weekend course assignments commencing fall 2025.

In addition to teaching, the candidate is expected to perform student advisement, and serve on departmental, college and university committees.

Performs teaching and related faculty functions in area(s) of expertise.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in area(s) of expertise, and the ability to teach successfully.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with IEP students in the NYCDOE
• Ability to teach in various satellite locations across Brooklyn
• Evidence of creative approaches to teaching diverse student populations
• Experience working with adults in instructional settings, a plus

COMPENSATION

$69,983 - $79,170. Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.

CUNY is in the process of implementing salary schedule increases. Once implemented, salaries of eligible employees will increase by approximately 9.54% with an additional increase of 3.5% effective 9/1/26, in accordance with the terms of the PSC-CUNY collective bargaining agreement.
