THE ROLE
The postholder will contribute to teaching, research, enterprise and business engagement for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Digital Design. They will provide teaching and academic support on BDes Digital Design, MDes UX and Service Design, Year 0 (Foundation in Art and Design) and related programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, contributing to an outstanding student experience at Ulster University’s Belfast School of Art in preparation for industry relevant specialisation and progression into professional life.
ABOUT YOU
- A Master’s Qualification (MDes/MA/MFA) in Interaction Design, Digital Design, Visual Communication or a related subject area OR a first or upper second-class honours degree, or equivalent degree level qualification in Interaction Design, Digital Design, Visual Communication or related subject area, plus significant experience.
- Experience of teaching and the assessment of Digital Design, UX and/or Service Design in higher education.
- Extensive experience in the use of a wide range of UX and Service Design practices and methodologies, particularly in a commercial context.
- Evidence of successful completion of UX and/or Service Design projects in a professional environment.
