About the Job
The University of Minnesota’s Earl E. Bakken Center for Spirituality & Healing invites applications for part-time Lecturers to teach graduate and undergraduate level academic courses on various topics in the field of Integrative Health and Wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
- 70% - Develop and deliver engaging course content that meets course objectives, assess student performance, and submit final grades
- 20% - Advise students regarding questions related to specific coursework and/or academic concerns
- 10% - Continue personal growth within the profession, by staying informed of advancement in integrative health and wellbeing.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Degree and substantial professional recognition in a relevant field.
- Minimum of two years’ teaching experience or equivalent education and experience totaling 6 years.
- Knowledge, skills and applied experience in: Effectively communicating verbally and in writing, to support the needs of diverse and multicultural learners. Working with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace. Working independently with little supervision. Ability and willingness to work evenings for synchronous class sessions, if needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduate teaching experience.
- Knowledge, skills and applied experience in relevant integrative health and wellbeing topics.
- Experience with Canvas.
About the Department
Founded in 1995, the Center works with interdisciplinary centers and administrative and collegiate units throughout all University of Minnesota campuses. Our faculty – nearly 70 in number – are leaders from diverse academic and clinical backgrounds, and are passionate experts in their fields. Pay and Benefits
Pay Range: $3,000 - $90,000; depending on education/qualifications/experience
Time Appointment Category: > 50%-74% Appointment
Position Type: Faculty and P&A Staff
