Key Responsibilities will include:
- Lead and empower the Academic Skills and Student Central teams, as well as support the coordination of SSWS orientation activities, to deliver high-quality, inclusive, student-centred services that support student success and wellbeing.
- Build strong partnerships and engage effectively with stakeholders across the University, fostering collaboration, mutual understanding, and shared solutions.
- Use data and insights to inform decisions, improve services and demonstrate impact.
- Coordinate responses to incidents impacting students (e.g., geopolitical events or natural disasters), ensuring timely communication, planning and effective support.

About You
- Extensive relevant experience and/or postgraduate qualifications, with strong management capability in multifaceted service environments.
- Demonstrated experience leading and managing diverse teams to deliver evidence-informed, high-quality, student-centred services, including performance management, recruitment, and training.
- Proven ability to collaborate and build strong partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leaders, to achieve shared outcomes.
- Experience developing and implementing projects or initiatives, including planning, monitoring and evaluating outcomes, analysing data, and reporting on results.
- Understanding of, and capacity to work within, services that focus on student support and wellbeing, with an awareness of the needs of diverse and vulnerable student cohorts. Comfortable stepping in to support more involved student situations as required.
- Strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, able to prioritise competing demands, lead through change, and drive high-quality student-centred service delivery.
Desirables
- Demonstrated ability to prepare resources to enhance student-centred services and an awareness of higher education teaching and learning pedagogy and innovation.
- Knowledge of issues related to the student experience within higher education nationally and internationally, including within a legislative framework, with the ability to apply a trauma-informed, intersectional lens.
