Job Description
Metro State University, Minnesota’s public, urban university, and four-time recipient of the Insight Into Diversity Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award is seeking to hire a Director of Student Health and Basic Needs. This is a full-time probationary position within the Student Success division.
Responsibilities:
- Provides leadership, work direction, and administration for the university’s initiatives in the areas of student health, basic needs (including the food pantry), and student parent resources for enrolled students.
- Manages student health and basic needs, services, and related activities to support student well-being.
- Directs the work of the student parent coordinator and student employees in the student parent center and food pantry.
- Serves as university expert for infection diseases, public health, and public health emergencies on campus.
- Keeps us in compliance with Minnesota Statute 136F.20 Student Health.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree plus six years of advanced professional experience in a related field.
- At least one year of professional supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, social justice, and cultural competence.
