About the role:

Operating within Transition, the National Manager, Transition, reports to the Associate Director, Student Experience and is a senior role within the Student Experience team. The position provides strategic advice on student transition and engagement to the Associate Director, Student Experience and Director, Student Experience & Enhancement and is responsible for overall planning, development and delivery of transition and orientation programs for all commencing students across the university nationally. The National Manager, Transition leads peer mentoring, Peer Assisted Study Session (PASS) programs and the Student Advocacy Service as well as working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to manage specialist onboarding programs for commencing students that contribute to ACU student retention. The role employs evidence and up-to-date research on student transition and engagement to implement innovative and well-attended orientation and transition programs. The National Manager, Transition uses best practices and engages with professional bodies and other universities to stay informed and relevant in the area of the student transition. This position manages and supervises staff to achieve agreed outcomes for the enhancement of the student transition including the delivery of professional services and programs. The National Manager, Transition will also contribute to the broader team's Strategic Plan and develop and implement Operational Plans, Status Reports, prepare budgets, various business documents and review policies, procedures and practices to achieve the University's key strategic outcomes in accordance with the ACU Strategic Plan.

What we offer:

  • Total remuneration valued to $160,162 - $170,900 total rem (pro rata) pa, including salary component $135,360 - $144,538 (pro rata) pa (HEW 9), employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
  • 17% employer superannuation contributions to eligible continuing and fixed-term staff.
  • Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date.
