Non-Exempt Temporary or Casual (OCM)
The Office of Classroom Management (OCM) works to provide high quality learning spaces for teaching and learning. This is a temporary / casual, hourly appointment. Shifts are available between 7:00 and 3:30 M-F. Up to 20 hours a week are typically available.
Lead Work
- Maintain Classroom Features and Equipment
- Move and/or arrange furniture according to layout.
- Check and replace classroom supplies.
- Replace items as needed, such as chairs and tables
- Perform basic maintenance when possible.
- Assist with furniture projects, such as assembling and unboxing items
- Help prepare newly renovated classrooms to OCM standard
- Regularly monitor and follow assigned tasks through online system
- Inventory and Reporting
- Document inventory, audit supplies and materials in service spaces.
- Compile student inspection data reports.
- Assist in updating room asset photos
- New Student Training Assistance
- Assist new CCMs with setting up ipads, learning routes, and learning inspection process.
- Serve as lead/main contact for group tasks.
- Help coordinate workflow in group tasks
- Assist Operations Coordinators in preparing training materials,
Required Qualifications
Able to walk, climb stairs, lift up to 30 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Excel/Sheets
- Experience leading and training others
- Experience in auditing and data entry
- Interest in learning furniture maintenance
- Experience in Orange QC
- Responsible, dependable, and punctual.
- Must be able to work both in groups and independently.
- Must be able to demonstrate critical thinking and the ability to problem-solve.
