Your Role on the Team
Position Summary: The Occupational Therapist III provides a full range of occupational therapy services including evaluation, treatment planning, therapeutic interventions, and discharge planning. The incumbent acts as a clinical resource, though maintenance of a specialty certification and participation in clinical research in the field of expertise.
What It Takes to be Successful
Required Qualifications:
- Occupational Therapy License from the Board of California
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Minimum of 10 years clinical experience as a licensed occupational therapist
- If assigned to work with infants and children aged 0 to 21, CCS paneling/approval will be required within one year of hire if qualified for CCS paneling requirement
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Demonstrated skills to communicate effectively with the appropriate Medical Therapy Units (MTU) as required.
- Demonstrated clinical research in the field of expertise, with a minimum of one publication every two years in a peer reviewed journal or board certified clinical specialist: Certified Hand Therapist, Board Certification in Gerontology, Board Certified in Mental Health, Board Certification in Pediatrics, Board Certification in Physical Rehabilitation, Certified Wound Specialist, Certified Neonatal Therapist
- Current BLS certification
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
