Office Administrative Specialist / Workforce Development/Continuing Education Assistant
The purpose of this position is to provide administrative office support, reception, and customer service, be the lead person for course registrations, to represent and present knowledge of multiple procedures and guidelines to staff, customers, students, and instructors in the Workforce Development/Continuing Education Department.
Salary Range: $20.32 - $25.41 hourly; $42,428 - $53,056 annually
Minimum Qualifications
Skills in communication sufficient to understand and be understood during interactions with others; and write, prepare, and edit materials using correct spelling, punctuation, grammar, and sentence construction.
Skills in customer service sufficient to perform the duties with politeness, respect, and interest in positive problem solving.
Knowledge of typing/keyboarding sufficient to perform skilled typing tasks with speed and accuracy.
Skill in data entry sufficient to read source documents and enter data in specific databases or tracking systems; locate identify and correct data entry errors.
Knowledge of word processing, such as Microsoft Office, sufficient to use software to create, format, edit, print, and save a variety of documents, including spreadsheets, tables, charts, and graphs.
Skills in database management sufficient to develop and maintain databases; and enter and retrieve data reports.
Knowledge of math sufficient to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers; use fractions, decimals, and calculate percentages; and apply simple formulas.
Preferred Qualification
Ability to keyboard/type a variety of documents accurately at 40 wpm with five errors or less.
Knowledge of basic accounting procedures sufficient to prepare itemized statements, bills or invoices, and record amounts due for items purchased or services rendered.
Excellent computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Knowledge and/or experience with rSchoolToday or other databases.

Work Shift (Hours / Days of work) - Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
