Organisational and Staff Development Officer

This role offers an excellent development opportunity for an established staff developer who wishes to broaden their staff and organisation development and project management experience in the biggest university in Wales. Based in the Organisational and Staff Development (OSD) team, this new role will develop a framework of support for staff moving into a new Hub structure, leading on a wide range of learning and development interventions including training and skills development, culture change, supporting the establishment of new ways of working and the creation and delivery of Communities of Practice. The role will include design and delivery of a range of training focused on customer service, collaboration, and continuous improvement, as well as team building interventions and business change support. In addition, they will be an opportunity to contribute to the wider OSD function, providing support where required to ensure the effective delivery of high-quality staff development initiatives across the University, leading small projects in this area and providing advice and guidance to various staff communities.

You will be:

  • a creative, enthusiastic, and experienced development professional, with experience of delivering high quality training and development programmes and a strong interest in organisational learning and development.
  • a confident communicator and influencer, with excellent communication, planning and organisational skills
  • able to motivate and inspire others, and to cultivate strong stakeholder networks.

This role is full-time and fixed term until 31st July 2026.

Salary range £40,497 - £45,413 per annum (Grade 6)
