Job Summary
The Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation is seeking an Orthopedic Surgeon to join the faculty and provide clinical care with a focus on pediatric and adult hand and upper extremity conditions and treatment. The ideal candidate will work jointly within the Division of Pediatric Orthopedics and the Section of Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery to provide care to both the pediatric and adult population. In addition to developing a robust clinical practice, this faculty position will be expected to engage in the scholarly missions of the department through medical education and research.
- This position requires work to be completed onsite, at a designated campus work location.
- This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years.
- Must provide a valid driver's license. Employees may use their own transportation or receive approval for University Car Fleet usage. Employment is conditional pending the results of a Pre-hire Driver Authorization Check. Key Job Responsibilities:
- Teach medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Participate in administrative and committee work to support the clinical and scholarly missions of UW Health and the School of Medicine and Public Health. An essential part of these duties will be working in a collegial relationship with other faculty members.

Required Qualifications:
- WI Medical license by the start date of the position.
- Board-certified or board eligible through the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS)
- Completion of a US Orthopedic Surgery residency, and fellowship trained in both Hand & Microvascular Surgery and Pediatric Hand & Upper Extremity Surgery by the start date of the position.
- Must be eligible for enrollment as a billing provider and for all necessary hospital privileges, by the start date of the position.
Education:
MD or DO, or equivalent required
