Summary

The Parent Support Mentor provides education and supportive services to children and families in child protective services by providing peer-to-peer support and mentoring to biological parents to assist in the integration of family voice into children’s supportive services, policies, and practices.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent

Must have a lived experience working with child protection services

Must have reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in psychology/social work or related field

A biological parent with prior lived experience with child protection services

Spanish language fluency – oral and written
