Part Time Career Technical Education (CTE) Navigator

Responsible for supporting all aspects of the mission of RCBC, specifically within the Career Preparation Unit as it relates to Perkins Career Technical Education (CTE) approved programs. This position is dedicated to working with our CTE programs to ensure student career readiness, develop clear pathways from education to employment, and provide comprehensive career navigation and advising. The position also supports CTE student success through familiarization with admissions and financial aid processes.

This is a grant funded position, with funding through June 30, 2026.

  • Assist with and lead Career Preparation Workshops (e.g., job search strategies, portfolio development) specifically for CTE programs.
  • Maintain robust partnerships with high school CTE departments to facilitate seamless student transitions and early career planning.
  • Maintain regular advising hours for CTE students to discuss career goals, resume building, and interview skills.
  • Provide comprehensive guidance to CTE students on career options, labor market needs, and the required academic and professional credentials.
  • Engage with industry partners and employers to understand current and future workforce needs and to facilitate internship and job opportunities for CTE students.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of the Perkins Grant.

OVERALL PURPOSE AND RESPONSIBILITY:
The primary and most important overall responsibility of all employees is to provide service in a pleasant, helpful, and effective manner to our students and other members of the College community.

Education Required: Associate's degree required or equivalent work experience

Experience Required: Previous experience working with students is preferred.

Skills/Abilities /Knowledge /Other Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work with a diverse population.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and projects.
  • Skilled use of computers using word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications.
  • General knowledge of higher education.
