Part-time Faculty Pool Non Teaching Faculty - Career Center Counselor
Provide quality instructions, create and maintain an environment which emphasizes teaching and learning and encourages free discussion of ideas, interests and issues. Primary duties of Part-time faculty members are related to curriculum and teaching; the assignment is divided between lecture and lab classes as determined by the department. Part-time instructional faculty are required to be available to students outside of class.
Part-Time Non Teaching Faculty Salary: The starting credit part-time non teaching faculty rate from salary table 9 is $45.06 per hour non-Lecture. If you have a doctorate, the rate is $47.23 per hour non-Lecture.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must possess the minimum qualifications for the discipline as approved by the California Community Colleges Board of Governors and defined in the Minimum Qualifications for Faculty and Administrators in California Community Colleges handbook. Master's in counseling, rehabilitation counseling, clinical psychology, counseling psychology, guidance counseling, educational counseling, social work, career development, marriage and family therapy, or marriage, family and child counseling, OR Possess a combination of education and experience that is at least the equivalent to all of the above. Candidates making an application on the basis of equivalency must submit an Application for Equivalency in addition to all other required material. AND Evidence of a sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, culture, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty and staff.
