"Part-Time Instructor Pool - Film and Media Studies"

Provide quality instructions, create and maintain an environment which emphasizes teaching and learning and encourages free discussion of ideas, interests and issues. Primary duties of part-time faculty members are related to curriculum and teaching; the assignment is divided between lecture and lab (on-campus, online, and/or hybrid) classes as determined by the department. Part-time instructional faculty are required to be available to students outside of class.

Part-time Instructor Salary Rate: The starting credit part-time faculty rate is $102.90 per hour-Lecture and $82.33 per hour-Lab. If you have a doctorate, the rate is $107.87 per hour-Lecture and $86.30 per hour-Lab.

Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in Film/Cinema and Media Studies, Film, Television, and Media Studies, Drama/Theater, Mass Communication OR Bachelor's degree in any of the above AND Master's degree in Visual Studies, Media Studies, English, or Communication OR the equivalent. Evidence of a sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, culture, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, faculty and staff.
