Payroll Officer (2 Positions Available)

  • Reference number: 26078
  • Term: Ongoing, full-time basis. Part-time arrangements will be considered.
  • Remuneration: $95,981 to $108,257 pa (HEW5) (inclusive of $81,105 to $91,478 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)
  • Location: Kelvin Grove (hybrid option available)

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Payroll Officer (2 Positions Available) to join Human Resources, People Services, Administrative Division.

The Payroll Officer delivers high quality, client focused and operational payroll services to clients within QUT and works within a dedicated team to perform a broad range of duties relating to the University’s fortnightly payroll function and administrative processes across the employee lifecycle.

What you need to succeed

  1. Education, training and/or relevant end to end payroll processing experience, equivalent to the completion of a degree.
  2. Ability to maintain an up to date understanding of legislative and QUT Enterprise Agreement requirements relating to Payroll Services.
  3. Demonstrated ability to enter data with a high degree of accuracy for fortnightly processing on a large, complex HR/Payroll system.
  4. Demonstrated experience working effectively in a client focused service environment, using interpersonal and communication skills to quickly establish rapport, manage collaborative working relationships and engage with diverse client groups.
  5. Ability to work as part of a team, multi-task with limited supervision in a high pressure and time sensitive environment.
  6. Demonstrated record of problem solving complex customer service issues with a high level of attention to detail.
