This position is being filled though OU's PEAK Temporary Staffing Service.
Under the general supervision of the Director-Regional Prevention Initiatives, this position is responsible for support to the Strategic Prevention Framework-Prescription Drugs and the Community Based Prevention Services project within the Southwest Prevention Center.
DUTIES:
- Perform administrative duties in support of substance use prevention projects as assigned.
- Assist in the collection of data for reports and statistical research.
- Compile statistical data in Excel spreadsheets.
- Online outreach and promotion using social media under guidance from project staff.
- Participate at community and campus meetings, health events, festivals or activities.
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS: High School and/or some college work; AND:
12 months office, clerical or administrative experience
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Bachelors degree preferred
- Volunteer or paid experience in drug and alcohol prevention, public health, health field or social services
- Ability and skills to contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment with both members of the project and the department.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
Required Skills:
- Working knowledge of office procedures.
- Working knowledge of accounting processes.
- Ability to use a computer and calculator.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as a team member.
- Ability to complete tasks in an efficient and timely manner.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Ability to multitask, be organized, and self-motivated
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Basic math skills.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
Must be able to complete a thorough employment and/or criminal history check. May be asked to work on evenings or weekends.
