Days/Hours: Monday - Friday, 8hrs - day shift

As a hybrid full time Infusion Center Pharmacy Technician at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, you will be responsible for supporting prior authorization by reviewing electronic health record and comparing with payer-requirements for specific medications, supporting clinics with prior authorization questions, collaborating with physicians, nurses, admissions and contracting, coordination and communication with patients related high cost drug questions as they arise and working with patients and Patients Assistance Programs to support high cost medications therapies.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

• High school Diploma or Equivalent Required

License/Certification/Registration Requirements:

• Current California Pharmacy Technician license in good standing

What else are we looking for?

• Prior Authorization experience is highly preferred

Physical demands:

Frequent standing; walking, bending; reaching, occasional sitting, pushing & pulling, lifting of materials up to 40 pounds for distances to 10 feet. Responsiveness to auditory alarms and communication devices including: telephones, beepers, fire alarms, and mechanical failure alarms. Sufficient mobility to access equipment, patients and other customers. Able to read information on medication labels.
