PhD position PRE-MADONA: Governance Structures for the Digital Transformation of Mass-Scale Renovation Processes
Job Summary
The Netherlands faces the challenge of renovating and de-fossilizing 1.5m buildings and 7m homes by 2050. The PRE-MADONA project develops solutions using data-driven methods to optimize large-scale renovation flows, accelerating processes to save costs, time, and resources.
Responsibilities
- Develop a multi-layered governance framework for digitally transforming renovation processes.
- Design governance structures for implementing and upscaling the digital ecosystem.
- Address issues like data privacy, ownership, distribution of responsibilities, accountability, and technology access at organizational, project, and district levels.
- Explore how digital technologies impact stakeholders' perception and interaction in renovation workflows under regulatory constraints.
- Map the socio-technical context and diversity of households in mass-scale renovation processes.
- Analyze the impact of digital technologies on stakeholders' perception and interaction.
- Reveal the interrelationship between digital technologies and renovation workflows.
- Develop governance structures that support digital transformation in a socio-political, sustainable, and inclusive way.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Highly motivated student with a MSc in business administration, business information technology, technology governance, construction management, or related fields.
- Experience or willingness to become an expert in digital transformation of construction, governance structures, and socio-materiality of renovation processes.
- Proactive, with initiative to propose and critically evaluate learning processes.
- Great teammate with good communication skills, able to work with peers and exchange knowledge.
- Proficient in English, preferably Dutch speaking.
