Physician Assistant / Nursing Specialist | Cardiogenetica
Job Summary: As a Physician Assistant or Nursing Specialist in Cardiogenetica, you will join the Clinical Genetics section and participate in clinical genetic patient care within a cohesive cardiogenetics team. You will provide genetic counseling to patients and family members with a history of cardiac conditions, request genetic diagnostics for hereditary heart diseases, coordinate DNA research, discuss results, initiate follow-ups, and assist patients in informing their family members. Additionally, you will contribute to departmental meetings, multidisciplinary discussions, and broader tasks such as quality improvement, organization of care, research, or education. There is an ambition to establish an expertise center in Cardiogenetica, where you will play a role.
Responsibilities: Provide genetic counseling and education to patients and family members; Request and coordinate genetic diagnostics for hereditary heart diseases; Discuss and explain results to patients; Initiate and manage follow-up controls; Inform family members of diagnosed hereditary heart diseases; Participate in departmental and multidisciplinary meetings; Contribute to quality improvement, care organization, research, and education.
Qualifications and Requirements: Must be an enthusiastic, BIG-registered Physician Assistant or Nursing Specialist, or in the final stage of training. Key competencies include strong communication skills, ability to take responsibility, organizational skills, initiative, and effective teamwork. Experience in cardiology and/or clinical genetic care is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided for necessary skills. You must be willing to continuously develop in the rapidly evolving field of Clinical Genetics.
What the Employer Offers: A fixed-term contract for 1 year with the prospect of permanent employment. Salary between €4,043 and €6,202 gross per month for a full-time position (36 hours per week), plus 8% vacation pay, 8.3% end-of-year bonus, and potential shift allowances.
