The Physician Assistant Program at Elizabethtown College invites applicants for a full-time faculty position within the graduate PA Program.
This is a permanent 12-month faculty position to begin January 1, 2026 with regular annual renewal, pending satisfactory performance. The Physician Assistant Program is a graduate program housed within the School of Science and Health, which is grounded in the mission of Elizabethtown College: Educate for Service. Our program provides an integrated curriculum including the art of medicine that will provide students with a transformative educational experience that emphasizes purposeful work, cultivates personal strengths and develops a passion for lifelong learning.
Successful colleagues will provide evidence of effective teaching and clinical work as well as be prepared to offer courses in both the didactic and clinical years. Primary responsibilities will be to didactic year students; however, all principal faculty will be fully integrated into the clinical year of the program and will provide graduate level instruction in all phases of the program. This position will assist the program director in the review, planning and development of the program. The candidate will participate in the accreditation process including ongoing course assessments, student assessments, remediation, faculty/staff assessments, program assessments, competency evaluations, accreditation site visits and data collection. This position actively participates in student recruitment and admissions (both undergraduate and graduate physician assistant studies) and student advising (both undergraduate and undergraduate). The position includes emphasis on service and scholarly activities for one’s own growth and development. Candidates should have a strong interest in designing enriching experiences for students that foster community engagement, holistic views of medicine and deeper understanding of human behavior.
The position requires maintenance of a professional development plan which addresses standard performance expectations in areas of teaching, scholarship, and service, with attention to diversity, equity, accessibility, and justice.
Requirements:
- Graduate of ARC-PA accredited program or other associated accredited program specific to applicant’s discipline
- Current NCCPA certification or current certification per applicant’s discipline
- Five years or more of clinical experience
- At least three years of quality teaching experience in higher education or related experience
- Eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania
