Postdoctoral Associate (Mattar Lab)
Dr. Marcelo Mattar is hiring a Postdoctoral Associate to develop computational models of memory and decision making and to validate these models with behavioral and neuroimaging experiments in humans. The research focus is on reinforcement learning and decision making, broadly construed. The start date is on or after September 1, 2025, but this can be flexibly adjusted as needed. The position is for one year and is renewable based on performance and availability of funds.
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $62,500-$90,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.
Requirements:
A PhD in psychology, neuroscience, computer science, engineering, or any other related field. Other requirements for this position include:
- Experience with human behavioral and/or neuroimaging experiments.
- A strong technical background in Bayesian and reinforcement learning models.
