Job Summary / Basic Function
The Department of Educational Leadership and School Psychology invites applications for the temporary faculty pool. The successful candidate will teach a range of courses including graduate level specialization courses in school psychology and/or undergraduate educational psychology courses. We especially welcome school psychologist candidates with experience and an ability to teach counseling theories and techniques, as well as research. The successful applicant must be capable of and committed to effective teaching and fulfillment of professional responsibilities, continuing scholarly growth, and service contribution to the University and communities. Additional responsibilities include involvement with departmental, college-wide, and university committees when appropriate.
Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
Preference will be given to candidates with a history of undergraduate- or graduate-level teaching experience. Professional experience in working with children as a school psychologist is desired. In order to be a leading applicant in this search, in addition to the aforementioned requirements, the applicant minimally must be fluent in the English language, possess strong technology skills, be able to communicate well, and possess a willingness to support and work with students from diverse backgrounds.
Minimum of Education / Training Required Education Summary
Applicants must have a minimum of an M.S., M.Ed., or equivalent in a related field (Ph.D. or Ed.D. preferred). Eligibility for school psychology certification in the state of Pennsylvania or a Nationally Certified School Psychologist.
