Program Coordinator I- Robert's Program
Position Summary/ Department Summary:
The Division of General Pediatrics is seeking a Program Coordinator I for Robert's Program. Robert's Program on Sudden Unexpected Death in Pediatrics (SUDP) seeks answers and provides support to families across the United States whose child (under age 18) has died suddenly and unexpectedly, without a known cause. The program's goal is to help families understand potential factors that may have contributed to their child's death, while offering compassionate guidance and support to help navigate their grief. Robert's Program is a leader in research and discovery to understand the potential causes and contributing factors to SUDP. Under direct supervision, the Program Coordinator coordinates all activities and functions of the program to ensure that goals and objectives specified for the program are accomplished in accordance with established priorities, time limitations, funding limitations or other specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinates activities and daily operations of a program.
- First source of contact for bereaved families and medical examiners seeking our services.
- Coordinates transfer of tissues, histology, genetic samples and medical records.
- Collaborates with team to keep databases current, including Redcap.
- May prepare or assist in preparation of proposal for funding and/or funding continuation from outside sponsors.
- May prepare or assist in the preparation of periodic reports and records on program activities, progress, status or other special reports for management or outside agencies.
- May review applications or other program documents in conjunction with supervisor to determine acceptance or make decisions pertaining to program.
- May assist in the coordination of recruitment efforts.
- May assist in planning workshops, meetings or conferences; coordinates logistics, scheduling and participant communications.
- Interacts and maintains liaison with staff, faculty and outside/community agencies in facilitating program objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Associate's degree or equivalent work experience is required. Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
Experience:
One year of relevant work experience is required.
