Position Summary
The Program Director is a full-time position responsible for managing the implementation of didactic and clinical curriculum consistent with guidelines from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF). Oversees management and daily operations of the AGACNP Program. Requires recognition at the national level, at least 4 years of clinical practice, and high academic standards in teaching, education, scholarship, and service. Demonstrates knowledge of environmental issues influencing the program and engages in professional development. Maintains teaching responsibilities within the Department for both the DNP-Nurse Anesthesia Program and the AGACNP Program, as determined by the Chair. Expected to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility, authority, and reporting to the Department Chair, with collaborative relationships.
- Faculty management: Collaborate on recruitment, evaluation, and mentoring; oversee activities and provide input on strategic plans.
- Promotion of teamwork within the program and department.
- Educational programs: Develop, implement, and evaluate student education, including clinical sites; maintain teaching responsibilities.
- Research/Scholarship: Encourage faculty productivity.
- Finances and budget: Collaborate on program budget.
- Model institutional mission and core values.
- Personal attributes: Effective leadership, communication, and adaptability.
- Additional responsibilities as a faculty member, as determined by the Chair.
- Terms: Serves at the pleasure of the Chair, with annual reviews.
- Evaluation: Based on program success, faculty morale, and alignment with strategic plans.
Full-time faculty engage in teaching, scholarly activity, and service, including instruction, curriculum management, assessment, advising, original scholarship, grant procurement, and committee contributions.

Required Education & Experience
- Earned doctoral degree from an accredited institution.
- Current license as a registered nurse and APRN-Nurse Practitioner in Illinois.
- Graduate of an accredited advanced practice nursing program.
- Current certification as an Adult-Gero Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with Illinois licensure.
- Experience in interprofessional collaboration.
- Minimum 4 years preferred clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Current knowledge of AGACNP practice and professional issues.
- Two years of education/administrative experience with formal instruction in curriculum, evaluation, and instruction.
- Demonstrated record of scholarship and service.
- Current knowledge of accreditation requirements.

- Knowledge of accreditation processes and educational pedagogy.
- Ability to lead, collaborate, and manage projects.
- Understanding of college operations and program development.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software.
