The Chabot-Las Positas Community College District is seeking instructors for Part-Time Instructor, Construction Management for Chabot College. Applicants will be expected to provide instruction in the Construction Management department through the division of Applied Technology and Business. The classes are currently on campus offering 2-3 classes per semester.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Teach lecture classes as assigned for the Construction Management Curriculum;
2. Ability to teach evening classes;
3. Consult with students during office hours;
4. Create lesson plans, facilitate effective instruction, and assess student learning;
5. Participate in the development and/or selection of course materials, equipment and technology that will enhance student engagement and learning;
6. Participate in on-going development, assessment, and analysis of student learning outcomes in the construction management program;
7. Perform other duties as required by contract, collective bargaining agreement, and general institutional needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree(s) or higher and two years of professional experience, and/or other specifications as noted, or specifically named associate degree(s) and six years of professional experience. The professional experience required must be directly related to the faculty members teaching assignment.

Evidence of understanding of and responsiveness to the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, racial and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, as these factors relate to the need for equity-minded practices within the classroom.

1. Previous experience teaching higher education.
