Position, Department: Registration Specialist, Workforce Development & Continuing Education
Type of Position: Part-time Regular, Non-Exempt
Work Schedule, Hours per week: Monday-Friday, 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM, 25 hours per week
Pay Range: $16.31-$20.77 and determined based on relevant years of work experience.

Position Summary: Register all students/customers, including adding, transferring, accepting payments, and withdrawing students from Continuing Education (CE) courses for Johnson County Community College (JCCC). Advise students and assist with registration decisions and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma and 3+ years of related experience.
  • Senior-level support role.
  • Completes assignments with little supervision.
  • May assist less-experienced team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.

Position Details: Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Confirm that JCCC policies are followed when dealing with student registration and student records and all information is secure and entered accurately.
  • Process student payments and entry of all revenue to ensure daily financial balance.
  • Provide administrative support to students and staff for course registration, withdrawal, transfers, and any canceled courses by JCCC.
  • Advise students, provide customer service, and act as the vital point of contact for Continuing Education. Remain knowledgeable on over 2,000 courses and certificates offered, multiple funding sources, discounts, and promotions.
  • Run daily reports to confirm student data and registration are entered accurately.
  • Manage and respond to emails and live chat questions.
  • Perform ongoing process improvement and suggest options for streamlining procedures.
  • Continue to learn and explore features of newly upgraded registration software.
