The Bushman lab is seeking candidates for projects involving next-generation sequencing for DNA insertion in host genomes and viral community analysis using deep sequencing and bioinformatics. Responsibilities include DNA purification, quantification, amplification, lab maintenance, bioinformatic analysis, DNA library preparation, sequencing, data analysis, interpretation, presenting at lab meetings, and manuscript preparation. Qualifications require a Bachelor of Science with 0 to 1 year of experience or equivalent, experience in DNA manipulation, and strong organizational, communication, and writing skills.
