Full time, Fixed Term 12 Months
Located at La Trobe Melbourne (Bundoora) campus
$115,566 - $124,759 + 17% superannuation

About the position

La Trobe University is looking for a Senior Consultant to join the Strategy Realisation Office (SRO), our internal consulting team partnering with senior leaders to turn strategy into real organisational outcomes.

You’ll work on high-priority initiatives that shape how the University plans, operates, and performs — leading projects and workstreams that combine strategy, data, operating model design, and implementation. The role will initially support a major program transforming strategic planning at La Trobe, bringing together strategy development, analytics, and modern data visualisation approaches.

We’re seeking someone who enjoys solving complex problems, working across organisational boundaries, and translating ideas into practical delivery. You’ll need strong analytical thinking, excellent stakeholder skills, and comfort working in environments where priorities evolve and ambiguity is part of the job.

La Trobe is also advancing its ambition to become an AI-enabled university. Curiosity about AI, data, and emerging tools — and an interest in applying them responsibly to improve decision-making and ways of working — will be highly valued.

This is a twelve-month fixed-term role, fully embedded within a collaborative, high-trust consulting team with strong exposure to senior leadership and opportunities to work across a diverse portfolio of strategic initiatives.
