State Prog Admin Coordinator - Project Manager, Academic Workforce Technology
Job Description
This position provides project management and operational support for Academic Workforce Technology initiatives across Minnesota State Colleges and Universities, with a primary focus on the strategic implementation, integration, and sustainment of the Faculty Workload Management (FWM) solution in alignment with Workday HCM, Financials and Student. The Project Manager coordinates cross-functional, matrixed teams; manages scope, schedule, and budget; and ensures deliverables meet institutional goals and compliance requirements. In addition to day-to-day project operations, the role contributes to business process design, testing, and a structured continuous improvement cycle that delivers sustainable, high-impact outcomes for all institutions.
Salary Range
$37.26 - $55.42/hourly ($77,799 - $115,717/annually)
Minimum Qualifications
Four (4) years of professional experience supporting or managing projects, programs, or process improvement initiatives in human resources, higher education, or government.
Experience implementing Lean, Kaizen, or similar continuous improvement programs.
Experience coordinating diverse project teams in a complex, matrixed organization.
Demonstrated ability to manage large projects from inception through evaluation, including scope definition, requirements, budgets, constraints, and communications.
Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, and the ability to communicate with a diverse set of stakeholders from business and technical communities.
Experience facilitating meetings, workshops, and/or training sessions with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Qualification
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Proficiency using analytical tools to interpret, cleanse, organize, and present data.
Experience interpreting employment law, rules, regulations and personal agreements sufficient to ensure compliance and mitigate risk
Demonstrated ability to make well-informed, timely, and data-driven decisions.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with leaders and other key stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to create an environment that encourages cooperation, motivation, innovation, and high performance teamwork.
