Position overview
Step into a senior leadership role shaping national First Nations economic reform.
The Centre for Indigenous Economic Transformation (CIET) is an Indigenous-led national hub advancing economic self-determination through research, policy and partnerships. Working alongside the First Nations Economic Empowerment Alliance (the Alliance) - a collective of First Nations-led organisations, statutory authorities and national leaders - CIET plays a key role in shaping and delivering a national reform agenda.
The Strategic Partnerships Director leads the Alliance Secretariat and drives the partnerships and engagement agenda across CIET and the Alliance.
This is a high-impact role working across government, First Nations organisations, industry and philanthropy to deliver structural change.
The position
Reporting to the Centre Director, you will lead the Alliance Secretariat and drive delivery of its strategy and priorities.
- Drive cross-sector collaboration to progress national reform priorities
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with First Nations leaders, government, industry and philanthropy
- Translate research into policy and practical outcomes
- Provide high-level advice, briefings and communications
- Represent CIET and the Alliance in key national forums
- Lead and develop a small, high-performing team
