Student Theatre Production Electrician - Federal Work Study

Job Summary

The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a federal work study student in the Theatre department on the Gainesville campus. Workers will help implement lighting, sound, and projection systems to support Gainesville Theatre Alliance Productions, student productions, and special events in the Ed Cabell Theatre and Hawk Cinema.

Responsibilities

• Hang and cable lighting instruments, speakers, and projectors.
• Organize equipment inventory.
• Coordinate with practicum students and faculty.
• Basic equipment maintenance.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Must be comfortable with heights.

Required Qualifications

• Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
• Workers should have basic electrics experience like that taught in Lighting Production, Sound Production, and Practicum courses.
