Sustainability Liaison
Interface with Fairmont State University’s Creative Sustainability Council. To staff sustainability locations on campus including composting and/or glass crushing operations (glass composting) for campus and community members. Duties may include: Receiving glass bottles from campus and community members and putting them into a glass crushing machine, collecting the sand produced and putting the sand in the designated location (home with community members or into storage bins for campus users). Measuring or transcribing temperature, monitoring compost operations. Record-keeping, data entry, data management and analysis, report creation. Customer service, public education and working with other entities. Training on duties and safety training will be provided.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of basic mathematics and ability to learn how to measure and weigh, read a digital thermometer and use an online spreadsheet for data entry and record-keeping. Good communication skills for interfacing with the public.
