Proposed Minimum Salary: $5,990.70 monthly

Job Location: Prairie View, Texas

Job Type: Staff

The Systems Administrator IV, under direction, provides technical leadership and oversight for the deployment and delivery of enterprise-wide system administration projects or services. Participates in mentoring, training, and developing other employees.

This position may pay more than the salary listed above depending on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Implements the evaluation of new technologies to determine their applicability with regards to end-user needs. Equips and supports employees to adopt change to drive organizational success and outcomes successfully.
  • Responsible for implementing and managing CITE service desk tools, including Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Intune, Bitlocker, Avecto/Secure Privilege Management, Addigy, Absolute, and other systems management tools.
  • Develops and organizes technical support documentation and training materials for CITE's IT Service Management tool.
  • Identify IT process improvement opportunities as well as compliance to all security controls and procedures, ensuring patching, assets management, and application upgrades.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Eight years of related experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications. Knowledge of IT architecture, application of systems theory, advanced negotiation skills, enterprise-level operations, multi-team leadership and coordination, advanced project management, sourcing, advanced vendor relations, advanced business acumen, change management, and knowledge of the IT industry. Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Excellent written communication, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Other Requirements:

May work beyond normal business hours to include evening and weekends.

Special Requirements:

Applicants with equivalent experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree may be considered. One year of the related experience is the equivalent of one college year. Applicants being considered for the equivalency must have four (4) years of related experience to meet the equivalency in lieu of a Bachelor's degree plus the minimum required years of experience. Applicants being considered for the equivalency must have a total of twelve (12) years of experience.
