This position serves as an employment consultant for all matters associated with the recruitment, screening, and selection approval of SHRA and EHRA non-faculty employees.
A primary responsibility of this role will be to provide professional consultation and training on recruitment policies, procedures, and best practices to campus managers engaged in the process of hiring employees in these classifications.
This position will be instrumental in building our professional and support staff workforce and maintaining compliance to all federal, state, and university system employment policies.
This individual will be responsible for working closely with other HR Managers and Consultants in Class and Comp and Employee Relations to ensure that recruitment efforts align with the University's vision, mission, and strategic goals.
The Talent Solutions Consultant will work with the Talent Solutions Manager and departmental hiring managers in planning, developing, and implementing recruiting strategies.
This position will be responsible for the refinement of hiring processes and work flows to support operational efficiency.
The position will collaborate with Talent Solutions team members to evaluate and streamline processes and develop innovative recruitment strategies to create diverse high-quality candidate pools based on current and future University needs.
Primary Function of Organizational Unit
North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University is a progressive university offering fully accredited academic programs to over 15,000 students. The University has over 1,900 permanent, currently employed faculty and staff. The Division of Human Resources provides comprehensive programs and services to support, attract and retain high performing faculty and staff at the University, as well as, to develop an interdisciplinary workforce to effectively serve the University in support of its mission. North Carolina A&T State University HR Talent Solutions Unit is comprised of a team of recruiters (coordinating SHRA, EHRA non-faculty, Temporary, Student and New Hire Compliance) for the university. The Talent Solutions unit is being restructured to bolster hiring effectiveness and support the Vice Chancellor in executing key HR initiatives. Talent Solutions provides services and consultation to campus & community customers involved in the recruitment & selection processes.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Preferred
Knowledge of Federal and State employment and hiring laws and regulations.
Experience in developing recruitment strategies and targeted recruitment efforts for difficult to fill positions, experience working in applicant tracking systems (PeopleAdmin) preferred.
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, organizational and time management skills; competency in MS Office with particular focus on Word and Excel; ability to work with sensitive confidential data and information.
Skills: project management, conflict resolution, effective written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
Adaptability to changes in the work environment, managing competing demands and dealing with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.

This position may be eligible for a remote or hybrid work arrangement, consistent with university and state policies. N.C. A&T employees are generally required to reside in North Carolina, within a 2-hour commuting distance of their assigned duty station.
