Job Description:

The Chemistry and Physics Department at SUNY Old Westbury regularly seeks to hire Adjunct Instructors who will effectively teach undergraduate lectures and laboratories including:

  • General Chemistry
  • Organic Chemistry
  • Physics

Candidates for adjunct positions should have a record of high-quality teaching in support of the College Mission.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • All But Dissertation (ABD) candidates with an expected date of Ph.D. completion within one year will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in the related fields.
  • Experience teaching at the college level.
  • Experience in research.
  • Experience teaching and mentoring a culturally diverse undergraduate student population.
