Technician II, Campus Support Services
Job Summary
This role responds to staff requests for technology, equipment, support and supplies, performs minor repairs on equipment and assists with inventory. The position produces instructional and promotional videos at the campus level using digital media and functions as a liaison to faculty, staff, and students with technology needs. The position troubleshoots and repairs technology equipment, as well as installs, modifies, and makes minor repairs to microcomputer hardware and software systems and provides technical assistance/training to system users.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Performance Requirements include completing scheduled technology setups; ensuring equipment is in good operating condition; ensuring correct software, firmware, and updates; providing system testing and troubleshooting on high-end A/V integrated control systems (Extron/Crestron); responding to emergency calls; responding to faculty and administrative requests; assisting with inventory; assisting in production of digital media; assisting with installation for events; troubleshooting and maintenance; maintaining schedule of campus events; assisting district teams; inspecting and preparing microcomputer equipment; installing hardware and software; instructing users; diagnosing problems.
Required Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED and three (3) years' working experience related to the Essential Performance Requirements, or equivalent.
Preferred: Associate's degree.
