Overview
The Art Museum seeks a Technology Fellow to serve a two-year term position in support of the Manager of Technology and Information Systems. The Technology Associate assists in the day-to-day management of the technology needs of the Art Museum, which is a highly collaborative and diverse organization.
The Technology Associate must be comfortable in learning and applying the skills necessary to provide hands-on direct technical support using available means, following assigned incidents through to completion, and maintaining a solution-based approach in the face of hard deadlines.
The successful candidate will, during the term of the position, have developed and demonstrated the ability to interact and collaborate effectively with a wide variety of constituencies, have a problem-solving mindset, appropriately balance multiple competing priorities, and perform the following duties under the direction of the Art Museum Manager of Technology and Information Systems.
This is a full-time, in-person position following a Monday—Friday/9 AM-5 PM schedule, with some after-hours and weekend responsibilities as required. This is a 2-year term position.

Responsibilities
The Technology Fellow role will focus primarily on Device & Business Application Support and, as needed, assist in IT/AV support for Museum initiatives and events.
- Address and resolve, with appropriate training, co-worker and related parties' concerns and questions about current releases of MacOS and Windows and relevant software.
- Provide conference room/meeting AV support, with appropriate training, when requested, as well as ensure all equipment is in working order on a scheduled basis.
- Configure and deploy, with appropriate training, a variety of hardware devices for use on the Princeton network, including desktops, laptops, cameras, tablets, coworker “bring-your-own-device" and other specialized devices based on need.
- Depending on need and interest, propose, develop, and deploy training materials and documentation that endeavor to increase awareness, understanding, and adoption of new collaborative tools, such as Airtable, Office 365, Jabber and other Museum-adopted platforms.
- Research and attend relevant technical training opportunities for professional development purposes.
- Participate in the Museum 2026 Summer Intern cohort program, providing training and orientation around Museum functions and operations.
Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Maximum of 3 years post-baccalaureate experience.
- Great communication and customer service skills - and the ability to take initiative on projects
- Familiarity with audio and visual technologies and their application in a variety of settings.
- Familiarity with PC and Mac platforms; Microsoft Office 365, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive.
- Familiarity with Airtable.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.
- Must be physically able to move and lift computers, projectors, some heavier equipment, climb ladders, etc.
Preferred Requirements
Prior experience in a museum or higher education institution.
