"Temporary Event Supervisor, Morris Arboretum & Gardens"

The University of Pennsylvania, a world-renowned leader in education, research, and innovation, is seeking a Temporary Event Supervisor for the Morris Arboretum & Gardens.

Job Description Summary: The Morris Arboretum of the University of Pennsylvania, located in Chestnut Hill, is looking for an Event/Wedding Supervisor to be the on-site manager during evening events during the 2025 season.

Job Description: The Supervisor has three main areas of responsibility: customer service, operations, and vendor/client supervision.

• Customer Service: Ensures that the rental client's needs are met throughout the evening, going above and beyond for a wonderful experience. Supervisors must remain calm under pressure, professional, and maintain a sense of humor.
• Operations: Manages on-site issues to ensure facilities are operational, including lights and supplies. At the end of the event, the Supervisor secures the area. They must be reliable, independent, and detail-oriented.
• Vendor/Client Supervision: Ensures that clients and vendors adhere to Arboretum policies, including clean-up and noise levels. Supervisors must be self-confident and comfortable addressing issues.

This is a part-time position with hours from 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM (sometimes earlier or later) on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from April through October. Expect to work 4-5 events per month.

Qualifications: H.S. Diploma preferred; 1-2 years of professional experience required.

Pay Rate: $25/hour.
