Visiting Fellow
Overview:
The School of Environment and Natural Resources at the Ohio State University invites applications for a Visiting Fellow position. This fellowship focuses on advancing research in conservation and regenerative agriculture, specifically examining the effects of no-tillage and crop diversification on soil functions and the sequestration of soil organic carbon.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct a comprehensive literature review on soil health impacts of no-till farming and complex crop rotations in South America, with emphasis on Brazil (40%).
- Perform statistical analyses on datasets provided by the fellow (20%).
- Participate in staff meetings and present research findings at seminars (20%).
- Engage with other visiting scholars and graduate students to foster collaboration (10%).
- Improve proficiency in written and spoken English (10%).
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Agriculture, Soil Science, Agronomy, or a related field.
- Strong background in soil health, conservation agriculture, and data analysis.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a research environment.
