Adjunct Clinical Instructor in Nursing
Texas Lutheran University invites applications for a part-time, adjunct clinical instructor position in the Department of Nursing at our New Braunfels location starting September 22, 2025, for the accelerated fall semester. The chosen adjunct will teach in the Accelerated BSN (ABSN) and Direct-Entry MSN (DEMSN) programs.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in nursing required, Doctorate in nursing or related field preferred. (ABD may be considered).
- Current, unencumbered RN license in Texas or eligibility to obtain one.
- Evidence of at least two years of clinical experience within the last four years.
Preference may be given to candidates who also offer one or more of the following:
- Preferred specialty areas include medical/surgical, mental health, maternal/child, and critical care nursing
- Demonstrate a commitment to health equity in education, contributing to diversity and/or experience working with underrepresented or disadvantaged student populations.
- Successful teaching experience in various formats, including instructional technology, concept-based curriculum, flipped classroom, interprofessional, and team teaching.
- Experience building and promoting community relationships, including developing student practicums in nursing.
- Successful implementation of evidence-based practice or research utilization projects.
- Experience in program development and evaluation, curriculum design, and teaching in an undergraduate baccalaureate nursing program.
