"Assistant Teaching Professor, Health Related Field"

The School of Nursing & Health Studies at the University of Washington Bothell is hiring a full-time faculty (100% FTE), at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor (non-tenure track) with an anticipated start date of September 16, 2026. This position will have a 5-year appointment term with a 9-month service period with additional opportunities to teach during the summer.

Job duties include: 1) teaching seven courses over three quarters during the regular academic year, 2) teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level, 3) providing excellent teaching to support and enhance learning for diverse populations, and 4) bridging theory and practice of healthcare and systems, social justice, public health, and applied practice. Our curricula and pedagogies include a variety of formats (e.g., face to face, online, and hybrid) as well as experiential and global learning.

The individual hired will be expected to support the UW Bothell mission and SNHS core values, including diversity, equity, and inclusion; access to excellence; care and respect; action-oriented social change; and social justice. All University of Washington faculty engage in teaching, scholarship, and service.

The base salary range for this position is $9200 - $9500 per month (9-month position), commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Qualifications: Must have DNP, DrPH, PhD or other doctoral degree in a relevant field, or foreign equivalent; expertise to teach across School of Nursing and Health Studies programs in health-related topic areas including social justice and health, health policy, health education, nursing, methods of academic inquiry, ethics, nutrition, and/or anatomy/physiology/pathology.
