Part time adjunct instructors are needed to teach Automotive Technology courses in the AAS curriculum. Adjuncts are required to participate in professional development, maintain full ASE and related Certifications, and be available to students and the Chair during associated office hours.

Adjunct Level 1 - $1,085 per credit hour.

Minimum Requirements

Associates Degree. Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Master Technician Certification (A1-A8 plus L1) OR Ford/GM/Stellantis Master/World-Class Certification. Adjuncts must earn L3, L4, xEV1 and xEV2 certifications within the first year of hire if teaching in related coursework. 5+ years of related industry experience. Teaching or training experience preferred. Must be available to work Monday-Thursday evenings or Friday & Saturday daytime.

Class Specific Essential Duties

1. Maintain currency in field and relevant licensure/certification through professional development and scholar activities.
2. Available to students outside of class.
3. Teaching classes in any or all variations of the Automotive Degree, or related non-credit sections, including assessment and structured laboratory activities.
4. Adherence to the standards and protocols of the Department.
